Maldives 'the paradise on earth'

http://www.flickr.com/photos/thayyib

‘Maldives’ is an island nation consisting of a group of atolls stretching south of India’s Lakshadweep islands between the Minicoy and the Chargos island (British Indian Ocean Territory leased to America’s Navel Base), and about 700 kilometers south-west of Sri Lanka in the Laccadive Sea of Indian Ocean.

None of the coral islands measures more than 1.5 metres (five feet) above sea level, making the country vulnerable to a rise in sea levels associated with global warming. The Maldives is portrayed by travel companies as a tropical paradise.

Great info, Maldives is known for beautiful beaches, gorgeous underwater coral formations and abundance of sea creatures like manta rays, whales, turtles and sharks.
